That makes us dream and yearn? And gaze at them all night long?
Have you ever seen a shooting star? Why do we close our eyes when this bright streak of light shoots across the vast velvet evening sky?
One of my favorite movies based on the book of one of my favorite authors Neil Gaiman, opened with the narrator quoting a philosopher "Are we human because we gaze at the stars, or do we gaze at them because we are human?"
Then the narrator continues, "Pointless really. But do the stars gaze back? Now
that's a question."
My inspiration for my new kit,
Shooting Star, spun from this movie while the swatch came from Vincent Van Gogh's
masterpiece (which also inspired
this song). It's all about stars, obviously. Who are the stars in your life? They who hold your dreams, hopes and aspirations in their hands.
