******** UPDATE 08/11/09: Game closed now! There are officially 9 participants to this game- all 8 who croaked in the comments section: Debi L, Haruthai, Eryn, AlaskaMoffits, Tammy & Shelby, Kathy, TJ, and Tita Anne plus Adalia who sent in her rhyme via e-mail. Will post the winner on Thursday (GMT+8) as I print out your entries and give my father a day to look at all your work. Great work everyone! I'm so impressed with your rhyming skills! :-) *******

I hope the party guests who participated in Game #1 had fun! I'm also hoping you are by now, enjoying your yum prizes :-)

So without much ado,  here's DP Game #2: Let's Rhyme!

This round is a bit similar to DP Game #1, but there's a twist: instead of simply completing the phrase, your answers must rhyme!

First, choose a phrase to complete from the following phrases:

1. "I want to buy ________"
2. "I am happy _________"
3. ""I just saw _________"

After choosing a phrase, complete that and make it rhyme. But make sure your answers must not fall below 10 words. It has to be composed of more than 10 words.

Here's an example of a rhyme I made from phrase #1:

"I want to buy
a sweet apple pie
but I  only have a dime
and half of a lime."

Now, don't copy my answer! Your answer must be original, something you came up with all on your own, or maybe with the help of family and friends hehe. But it should be original, not something you lifted off the 'net.

There will be no Mister Linky for this round, nor emailing of answers. You are to croak your answers in the comments section of this post. At the end of your rhyme, write down your name and what number you are in the Blog Guest and Email Guest list that I posted at the bottom of the blog (see below).

So it will look like this, for example:

"I want to buy
a sweet apple pie
but I  only have a dime
and half of a lime."

The game ends on Tuesday, 10:00 PM (GMT +8).

For this round, only one winner will be chosen and sitting in as the one-man board of judges to pick the winner is no other than Giovanni Cambronero Nessia, my father. He's an English major graduate with more than 20 years of experience in writing and publishing (the daughter is trying to follow the father's footsteps!). Now I did not just say his credentials to intimidate you, only to show you the reason why I asked him to be the judge for this round (hehe).

Also because I'm cheap, and if I asked my friends to help me again I'll be obligated to buy them another round of pizza (harhar).

Here are sneak peeks of what the winner for this round will get:

The prize for this round is my entry for the third round of Scrap Outside The Box's summer challenge. It's a kit filled with handdrawn goodness. I can't show a preview of the full kit yet plus an alpha set because the official unveiling will be on Monday over at SOTB. So I hope the sneak peeks will be enough to whet your creative appetites, and start rhyming!

Just a reiteration: The game prizes are not included in the goodie bags I will be handing out to all the party guests at the end of August. :-) Only those who participate in the games will get a chance to win it.

Now, I know that most of the party guests are also designers, so I will throw in a pack of CU drawings that I made for the kit. You will see what it is at the end of the game *wink*.

Are you ready to rhyme now?
Chosen the winner is the one who will make my Dad go "wow"
I know it won't be easy but somehow,
It will be fun just like a luau!
Sorry to be rhyming
but I can't see a more appropriate ending
for this posting!

"I want to buy, a groovy retro tie,
for Rach's dad cuz he's extremely rad!
He can wear it at the park,
or even by the pool ...
and everyone will say "Rach, your dads too cool!"

Hi rachelle,
This is such a fun challenge, I'll give it a try. Here we go... :)

"I just saw the best looking cheesecake ever!
And I bet it had the most fulfilling flavor!

Too bad I was on a diet, so I had to keep quiet,
Eventhough I wanted to cry, all I did was sigh,
Oh, no, I would not let it win, no matter how hard I would not give in,

So, believe me when I say never!!
(Just don't bring me any chocolate cake
of which I'm such a big craver!!)"

okay...I missed the first game (damn blogger!) so I really should attempt this!

I want to buy PS CS3,
it really is a dream for me.
But DH's wallet is far too tight,
and it does not budge despite my might.
Of course I'd rather PS CS4,
but his jaw would plummet through the floor,
for DH just can't understand,
the thrill I get in digi-land.
So I pray and dream
throughout the night,
that Adobe hears of my sad plight,
And offers me a dream come true...
A RAK of (at least) CS2.

I am happy,
but also a little sad.
My underwear has lost its snappy.
It's falling down. That is bad.

I'm happy but sometimes I wonder
when I redid my room, did I blunder?
Having cleaned and re-arranged,
now my stuff - it's all changed.
In a drawer? on the table? maybe under?
I have to wonder, did I blunder?

PS. I love to rearrange/reorganize......

I want to buy a ticket to see Paris Hilton's new house,
Hubby's doesn't see what all the fuss is about!
The bling, the girly pinks I adore,
what more could a girl ask for?
Her perfumes I own, amongst her other things,
And oh the happiness that they bring!
I wish and dream and hope and dream,
I want it more than anything :)

(lol..you know Rach, Paris was the only thing I could come up with..you know I adore her *wink)

I am happy the most
When I hear my sweet child boast
Of her complete understanding
Of what she just wrote
For her troubles of grasping
Has been often in learning
With tribulations around
Too many corners

We push ahead as a team you see
Cause learning shouldn't be such a bad mystery
Since her get up and go has waned in the past
I must crusade for my sweet child
With everything that I have
Yes, we will conquer the long hours in the lead
For this is a fight we can resolve as a team

OK, here goes Angel!

I want to buy a cup of coffee,
Not a cappuccino with toffee.
Just a cup of Maxwell House will do,
I love the taste of regular brew.

I have about 7 more if you don't happen to like this one.
