Before I go to the updates, I'd like to post a little one kit CT call (not sure if this is what they're called?) Basically, I was hoping to hook up two creative people who can make sense of this creative mess of a kit I'm making right now. It's still 80% done actually, but I'd like to post the call this early as I'll be busy with non-design stuff later this week.
So if anyone is interested, please drop me an email, tell me a bit about yourself and a link to your blog. I just need two ladies to scrap a max of two pages each of this "messy" kit and post it on their blogs and any gallery they belong to. My email addie is doodelle (at) gmail (dot) com.
On to the updates- my Dad finally has a donor! He's scheduled for corneal transplant on Friday afternoon but we'll be going into the hospital tonight as he needs to go through a couple more lab tests from his pulmunologist (I call him his asthma doctor hehe). He'll probably be staying at the hospital a max of two nights, should everything go as hoped, and planned. I'm taking a couple of days off from work as well to look after him and all the darn paperwork and red tape that Philippine hospitals dump on their patients. (Ooops, I said darn. Is thatconsidered cursing?)
I already have a couple of freebies lined up for this month, but I'll post them next week, so do hang around here :-)
Also, I applied for a new store but got rejected :-( My first design-related rejection! Ugh! But like with everything else in life, take it all with a pat on the back, a grin, a hug from a friend and a cup of cappuccino. :-D How do you deal with rejection, of all sorts? Lovers, friends, business, etc? Croak up! Would love to hear what you think. :-)

I love your designs!
I can't understand why a store would reject you!
But I think it's just a matter of taste...
Just sent you a message about your call :-)

A store rejected you? Why on earth would they do that! You are freaking talented and awesome!
I am so happy for your dad! I know that has been tough on you and I wish you and your family all the best and prayers.
I sent you an email too.
Hugs,

I dont design but I have been rejected for CT Calls and it hurts... makes you wonder what is wrong. But it also really ends up being better at times, you may end up in a better spot with better people. So keep your head high and keep applying. Your stuff is super cute!

I can't believe a store rejected you!! You are super talented, your designs are awesome! Their loss!!
Too bad I don't scrap layouts or else I would be all over applying for your CT. :)

Rach,
So sad to hear about the rejection .. I've applied for many CT positions and had few acceptances. Don't take it personally, there are many reasons why it doesn't work out --- perhaps there's another place you wouldn't have considered but turns out to be just right. If you'd gotten accepted at the other place, you wouldn't have been available for the perfect place!!! HUGS!!!
