I’m taking a short break right now from the pretty long-winded tutorial I posted earlier. So Chapter 2 of the tutorial won’t be up in this post, but the next one.
I tried to make the first tutorial as short and clear as possible. It took me 6 hours to come up with that tutorial, can you believe it? I was running on a limp net connection at home at that time (3 mbps) and it took some time to upload the screencaps to Photobucket. I now have much respect for bloggers who tirelessly post tuts online. It’s a lot of hard work!
In the next tut, I’m thinking of also uploading a .pdf version of the tut so you can work on them offline. Although you can also just do the copy + paste thing – copy the tut from my blog and paste it into Word then save on your hard drive. I do that when I stumble on a tutorial online that I like. I rarely bookmark sites because I have this paranoid feeling that the tutorial would no longer be there the next time I visit.
Before I go on, I’d like to give a big hoot to a creative scrapper and very nice lady PaMam. She has dressed up her blog using my “I Dream of Fall” kit and it just looks super nice! Especially when you scroll all the way down at the bottom of her blog :-)

Doodle Mix 2 (Commercial Use) is now up in the shops. This pack has 7 greyscale layered .psd (Photoshop) templates and corresponding 7 .png linearts.
The doodles are all vector-drawn so the lines are 100% smooth and jaggie-free. You can clip textures/overlays or flood fill them with colors and gradients, giving you several ways to creatively customize the doodles.

I wont comment to win since I just did but I wanted to say thanks for the great idea of copying the tuts into a Word doc and saving it... I have like 100 tuts bookmarked and its crazy going thru them all when a link changes or the site goes down.
Thanks again for all you do!!!

I like doodle mix 2 with the trees and flowers! Also, I use some software called doPDF or PrimoPDF that install as a printer driver to save web pages. So when you are reading a tut you just click the print button and everything is saved in one file in PDF format. For some reason these don't work well with some blog postings and then I revert to the the Word cut and paste but for the most part, I prefer the print to save as PDF.

I like them both! I think the mix 2 would be more practical for me though :P I'm not sure why I should win, maybe because I love your doodles!?
Thanks so much for the chance Rachelle!
